Russian Aeroflot plane remains stranded at Geneva airport after sanctions ban flights
A Russian passenger plane has remained parked at Geneva airport since the start of the full-scale war in Ukraine, after sanctions prevented it from leaving Switzerland. The Aeroflot Airbus A321, registered VP-BOE and named after Russian soprano Galina Vishnevskaya, landed in Geneva on 27 February 2022.
