Germany blames Russia for explosive drone incident at Leipzig/Halle Airport
Germany has publicly blamed Russia for an explosive-laden drone incident at Leipzig/Halle Airport that took place on 4 August. Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt said the conclusion was based on analysis of the drone technology and other intelligence information. He said the case fits what Germany sees as a known pattern of Russian hybrid operations in Europe.Officials said the drone was found with explosives and a detonator inside the airport area.
