Tuareg separatists and their jihadist allies attacked a convoy carrying Russian soldiers and Malian troops on Thursday morning as it moved to reinforce a military camp near Anefis in northern Mali. Mali attacks spread to five locations as army reports militant deaths
The Malian army said it repelled coordinated attacks on five positions across the country, with fighting reported in the north, centre and south. The sites named by the military were Aguelhok, Anefis, Gao, Sevare and Kenieroba.
