China Communist Party central committee holds fifth plenary session in Beijing
The 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China convened its fifth plenary session in Beijing from October 26 to 29, 2026. The meeting was adopted on October 29, 2026. The source says 162 members and 117 alternate members of the Central Committee attended. Members of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and leading officials from relevant departments attended in a non-voting capacity. Some primary-level colleagues and a number of experts and scholars serving as delegates to the 20th National Party Congress also attended in a non-voting capacity.
