Large US defence industry delegation visits Taiwan for forum and official meetings
A 41-member delegation of senior US defence industry executives is visiting Taiwan for meetings with officials, defence innovation centres and think tanks, as well as a forum in Taipei. The trip is being led by retired general Charles Flynn, a former commander of US Army Pacific. It comes as Taiwan continues efforts to strengthen deterrence under pressure from Beijing.The visit was organised by the US-Taiwan Business Council, which has long acted as a bridge for the defence industry.
