The US Senate has voted to block debate on the annual defence policy bill after Democrats objected to President Donald Trump's war in Iran and provisions that would deepen military cooperation with Israel. The 50-46 vote was a rare setback for the National Defense Authorization Act, one of the legislature's few must-pass measures.
