Nicolas Maduro returns to New York court for third hearing in US drug trafficking case
Venezuela's ousted president Nicolas Maduro is due to appear before a New York court on Wednesday for a third public hearing in his US drug trafficking case. The hearing is procedural, but it could confirm a proposed June 2027 trial date. Maduro's wife, Cilia Flores, is also being held in Brooklyn and remains part of the same case.In a court filing late on Tuesday, prosecutors and defence lawyers jointly proposed the June 2027 date.
