Royal Navy warships and a helicopter spent three days tracking Russian Navy vessels and sanctioned cargo ships in the North Sea and English Channel, in what the UK described as an intense maritime security operation. The monitoring took place last week and involved ships and aircraft following the movement of four vessels through UK waters.
