Europol-led operation targets over 75,000 DDoS-for-hire users in 21 countries
On 13 April 2026, Europol supported a large-scale coordinated operation involving 21 countries aimed at combating criminal activity linked to distributed denial-of-service (DDoS)-for-hire services. The operation specifically targeted over 75,000 identified users engaged in these illegal practices. During the week-long action, more than 75,000 warning emails and letters were sent to the identified criminal users as part of prevention and enforcement efforts. Law enforcement also executed 25 search warrants in relation to the operation. Additionally, four individuals were arrested during the operation.
