Australia poised to sign major new defence treaty with Fiji
Australia is set to sign a major new treaty with Fiji, in what officials have described as a step up from current defence arrangements. Prime Minister Anthony Albanese is due to sign the Vuvale Union with Fiji's Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka in Suva.
