South Korea announces joint drills with US and Japan for September 7-11
South Korea has announced that it will hold joint military exercises with the United States and Japan from September 7 to 11. The drills, called Freedom Edge, will take place in international waters east and south of Jeju island. The exercise is focused on North Korea, according to the South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff.The planned manoeuvres will include maritime missile defence, air defence, anti-submarine warfare and cyber defence.
