Man in his 70s dies after assault in Co Waterford, Ireland
A man in his 70s died at the scene following an assault in Cappagh, Dungarvan, County Waterford, on April 13, 2026.Gardaí and emergency services responded shortly after 6pm to the incident outside a residential property.The older man was found with serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.His body was subsequently taken to University Hospital Waterford for a post-mortem examination.A man in his 40s was arrested at the scene and is currently being held at a garda station in Waterford.It is understood that the victim and the suspect were known to each other.The scene has been preserved for forensic...
