Airbus fined £6.4m in UK over export-control breaches involving sensitive technology
Airbus has been fined £6.4m in the UK after admitting multiple breaches of rules governing the export and transfer of controlled technology. The settlement was reached with HM Revenue and Customs after the company self-reported offences that took place before November 2022. HMRC said the case involved failures to keep records of controlled technology exports over a sustained period.The tax authority described the payment as its largest out-of-court settlement for strategic export offences.
