Ukraine MP says political will could protect Aughinish jobs amid sanctions debate
A senior Ukrainian MP has said there is a way to protect jobs at Aughinish Alumina if the refinery is sanctioned, arguing that the Irish government could act if it has the political will to do so. Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze, who chairs the committee on Ukraine's integration with the EU, said there are examples elsewhere in Europe of Russian-owned refineries being placed under external management.
