Between March 9 and 14, the Manitoba Integrated Violent Offender Apprehension Unit (MIVOAU), a specialized task force composed of RCMP and Winnipeg Police Service officers, conducted a series of coordinated arrests in four northern First Nations communities. The unit targeted 24 individuals identified as violent and prolific offenders who were wanted on outstanding warrants related to serious crimes.
