UN Calls for De-escalation as Violence Kills 800+ in Southern Lebanon
Since March 2, southern Lebanon has been engulfed in intense military clashes resulting in devastating human and social consequences. Over 800 people have died and nearly 2,000 more have been injured. The conflict has uprooted more than 800,000 residents, forcing around 120,000 into emergency shelters. These numbers highlight the severe toll on civilian populations and infrastructure in the region.
