A powerful 7.7-magnitude earthquake struck off Indonesia's Flores region on Saturday, causing deaths, injuries and widespread damage in eastern Indonesia. The quake hit early in the day and was felt in Maumere, where footage showed people running for safety as the ground shook. Indonesia's disaster agency says at least 38 people have now been confirmed dead after a magnitude 7.7 earthquake struck north of Flores Island in the country's east on Saturday.
