UK diesel prices hit record high amid Middle East war spillover
Diesel prices in the United Kingdom have reached an all-time high of 199.18p per litre, according to the motoring organisation RAC. Petrol prices are also continuing to rise, with a litre now costing 174.13p. The increase comes as the war in the Middle East continues to disrupt oil production and transport across the region.RAC said the latest diesel figure puts prices in "uncharted territory" and is a reminder of how exposed the UK is to events far beyond its borders.
