Iran reports major new gas reserve discovery in Fars province amid war-hit energy sector
Iran has said it discovered more than 200 billion cubic metres of natural gas in the southern province of Fars, in a development announced as the country's energy system remains under strain from months of attacks. Petroleum Minister Mohsen Paknejad said on state television that more than 160 billion cubic metres could potentially be recovered from the field.
