Thousands of people have gathered in Tirana under the banner of the so-called Flamingo Revolution, turning an environmental protest into a broader challenge to Albania's government. The demonstrations began over a luxury resort project near Narta Lagoon, a protected area close to the coastal city of Vlora, but have now expanded into calls for Prime Minister Edi Rama to resign.
