Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam reaffirmed the government's firm position on maintaining control over decisions concerning war and peace despite ongoing warfare across Lebanon. He reported that Beirut, its southern suburb, southern Lebanon, and the Bekaa Valley have faced continuous bombardments for more than ten days.
