A court in Seoul has ordered North Korea to pay 44.6 billion won in damages over the 2020 demolition of the inter-Korean liaison office in Kaesong. The ruling is the first in a South Korean lawsuit brought over the destruction of the building, which once served as a communication channel between the two Koreas.
