RCMP traffic stop leads to arrest and cannabis product seizure
On March 7, 2026, Nova Scotia RCMP Metro Traffic Services conducted a routine traffic stop on Hwy. 102 near Fall River that led to the arrest of a 26-year-old man from Truro. Officers detected illegal cannabis products inside the vehicle, which triggered a search and subsequent seizure of the contraband. The cannabis was reportedly bound for sale at an unauthorized storefront. The accused was charged with Possession of Proceeds of Crime under the Criminal Code and four counts under the Cannabis Control Act.
