European rights court orders Turkey to free Osman Kavala
The European Court of Human Rights has ordered Turkey to immediately release businessman, activist and philanthropist Osman Kavala, saying his detention was unlawful. The ruling adds a new legal challenge to a case that has already become one of the most closely watched human rights disputes involving Turkey.
