Pentagon accelerates Patriot and THAAD interceptor production amid stockpile strain
The United States Department of Defense has announced new agreements with Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman to expand production of missile defence interceptors used in the Patriot PAC-3 and THAAD systems. The move is aimed at increasing output as the Pentagon seeks to rebuild stockpiles under pressure from ongoing military commitments.
