Peter Murrell to be sentenced in Edinburgh over SNP embezzlement
Former Scottish National Party chief executive Peter Murrell is due to be sentenced at the High Court in Edinburgh after admitting that he embezzled more than £400,000 from the party. The 61-year-old, who was once one of the most powerful figures in Scottish politics, pleaded guilty last month and has been remanded in custody since then.
