Russia-linked accounts amplify far-right narratives during Ceuta migration crisis

Russia-linked social media accounts connected to the Pravda network amplified far-right narratives during the early days of the migration crisis in Ceuta, according to an analysis by the counter-disinformation group 411. The activity began on 1 August, a day after 49,000 people reportedly attempted to cross into the Spanish enclave from Morocco overnight. The analysis says the messaging reached more than 500,000 people and was reproduced rapidly across multiple languages.The group said the accounts framed the events as a deliberately coordinated assault and suggested that authorities were complicit.
