Russia jails anti-war politician Lev Shlosberg as Yabloko loses election appeal
Russia has sentenced prominent anti-war politician Lev Shlosberg to 11 years and one month in a penal colony, in a case that his party says is part of a wider effort to silence dissent. A court in the north-western city of Pskov found the 63-year-old guilty of charges including discrediting the armed forces and spreading false information about them.
