RCMP Traffic Unit Issues 190 Tickets During Weeklong Prince Edward Island Safety Drive
Over the past week, the RCMP Traffic Services Unit carried out a proactive enforcement initiative across Prince Edward Island aimed at improving road safety. The operation involved 12 checkpoints scattered throughout the province, resulting in 190 tickets issued for various traffic violations and 20 warnings given to drivers. In addition to routine violations, the enforcement efforts led to the arrest of three impaired drivers and the roadside suspension of another driver for seven days.
