San Francisco jury convicts seven protesters over Golden Gate Bridge blockade
A San Francisco jury has convicted seven pro-Palestine protesters of multiple misdemeanour charges over a blockade of the Golden Gate Bridge during a 2024 demonstration. The panel was still deadlocked on a separate felony conspiracy count, leaving that charge unresolved. The case centres on an April 15, 2024 protest that shut southbound lanes of the bridge for four hours.According to the district attorney, each of the seven defendants was found guilty of six misdemeanour counts, including false imprisonment, obstruction of a thoroughfare and unlawful assembly.
