US says Iran war has cost $37.5bn as Hegseth seeks urgent funding
US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth told senators that the war against Iran has cost about $37.5bn so far, as he pressed Congress for an urgent funding increase in Washington. He said the figure was roughly $8bn higher than the administration's previous public estimate in May and included anticipated costs through 30 September.
