Iran executes man convicted of spying for Mossad over missile-site intelligence
Iran has executed a man convicted of passing intelligence on missile sites to Israel during the 12-day war, according to the country's judiciary. The execution took place on Saturday, 19 September 2026, after the Supreme Court upheld the death sentence. The case centres on Hossein Pedaran, whom authorities accused of espionage and intelligence cooperation with Israel.The judiciary said Pedaran was hanged after the court confirmed the sentence. It said he had provided Israel's Mossad with information about sensitive military locations in the central province of Isfahan.
