29-year-old man charged following flight from police
On March 6, 2026, at around 1:38 a.m., Sussex RCMP officers attempted to stop a vehicle near Havelock, New Brunswick, due to a Motor Vehicle Act violation. The driver, a 29-year-old man from Three Rivers, fled in the vehicle, which was driving erratically on a gravel road before crashing into a ditch. The driver then fled on foot, but the female passenger, aged 38, was detained at the scene. New Brunswick RCMP’s Police Dog Services were called to track the fleeing suspect.
