US charges eight alleged Tren de Aragua members with killings, kidnappings and racketeering
The US Department of Justice announced charges in the Northern Districts of Illinois and Texas against eight alleged members of the designated foreign terrorist organization Tren de Aragua. The case was filed after Homeland Security Task Force investigations and includes allegations of murders, kidnappings and firearms offenses. According to the DOJ, all eight defendants are illegal aliens believed to be from Venezuela. The department said they illegally entered the United States between December 2021 and April 2024.
