Trial of alleged 9/11 mastermind set for June 2028 after plea deal collapse
A US military judge has ordered Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and three co-defendants to go on trial in June 2028 over the 11 September 2001 attacks. The scheduling order, issued by Air Force Lieutenant Colonel Michael Schrama, sets 5 June 2028 as the start date for the long-running military commission case at Guantanamo Bay in Cuba.
