New York mayor weighs arresting Netanyahu if he visits for UN General Assembly
New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani said discussions are still under way inside his administration over whether police could arrest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu if he arrives in the United States. Mamdani said the issue is being examined with the city Law Department, but he said he is not sure he has the legal authority to order the New York Police Department to detain a foreign leader.
