German authorities successfully extradited Brigitte Häuser-Axtner, a 49-year-old former employee of the collapsed Wirecard Group, from Singapore on March 30, 2026. She is charged with involvement in criminal organization, computer fraud, and money laundering related to the Wirecard scandal, one of Europe's most high-profile financial fraud cases. The extradition process began in late 2025 after Germany requested her provisional arrest.
