Police officer killed, five teachers kidnapped in raid on Cameroon teacher training centre in Wum
Armed individuals raided a teacher training centre in the town of Wum in Cameroon's Northwest Region, killing a police officer and abducting five teachers. The attack took place on Tuesday morning, according to the regional governor, Adolphe Lele Lafrique. Security forces are now searching for the attackers and the missing teachers.Lafrique said the group of armed individuals infiltrated the centre, about 80 kilometres north of Bamenda, and opened fire when a police officer tried to stop them.
