Chilliwack RCMP Investigate Suspicious Death Linked to February Assault
On March 7, 2026, a 49-year-old man from Chilliwack died in hospital following injuries from an assault that occurred on February 21. The attack took place late at night on Railway Avenue near Young Road. The victim was walking with another male prior to the incident. The Chilliwack RCMP Serious Crime Unit has taken over the case and is investigating the assault as a possible factor in the man’s death.
