A Palestinian man was shot dead and an Israeli soldier was seriously wounded after a vehicle drove toward Israeli forces at a checkpoint west of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank, according to Israeli police and Palestinian officials. The incident took place near the settlement of Beit Horon, at an intersection used by Israeli forces stationed in the area.
