Pentagon polygraph probe targets Joint Staff over classified leak reports
The Pentagon has reportedly subjected about 50 members of the US Joint Staff to polygraph tests as part of an inquiry into unauthorized leaks of classified information. The investigation followed media reports about depleted US weapons stockpiles during the conflict involving Iran. According to the report, the tests were carried out last month after a series of stories about falling reserves of long-range missiles and Patriot air defence interceptors.The inquiry is said to be focused on whether civilian and military personnel passed classified details to reporters.
