US Senate confirms Jay Clayton as director of national intelligence
The US Senate has confirmed Jay Clayton as the next director of national intelligence, filling one of the most sensitive intelligence posts in the federal government. Senators voted 51 to 47 on Tuesday to install him, ending a period in which the role had been held on an acting basis.
