Power cuts have intensified across Venezuela since the start of the year, disrupting homes, businesses and essential services and fuelling protests against the government of interim President Delcy Rodriguez. In Valencia, in Carabobo state, one dialysis patient described how a clinic blackout stopped his treatment mid-session, leaving him unable to complete the care he needs several times a week.
