More than four years after Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the conflict’s toll on civilians is escalating, UN human rights officials said. From January to February 2025, at least 107 civilians were killed and 430 injured in drone attacks alone. These strikes have been the leading cause of death and injury, particularly involving short-range drones hitting both government-controlled and Russian-occupied territories.
