Wildfires in and around Spokane, Washington have burned about 10,000 acres, destroyed more than 900 homes and forced more than 64,000 residents to evacuate. The fires spread rapidly across the area in strong winds, leaving neighbourhoods heavily damaged and prompting a major emergency response.
