Niger military reshuffles top army command after failed mutiny
Niger's military government has appointed a new head of the armed forces after a failed mutiny that tested the junta's control over the security apparatus. A decree read on state television on Friday announced that General Mamane Sani Kiaou would replace General Moussa Salaou Barmou at the top of the armed forces.
