US naval blockade off Iran disrupts trade and daily life, report says
A reinstated US naval blockade off Iran's southern coast has brought much of the country's commercial activity to a virtual halt, according to people interviewed in a report published on 31 August. The disruption is centred on the Persian Gulf and on southern ports such as Bandar Abbas, which are key to Iran's imports and exports.
