At least 16 killed as vehicle-borne attack on mosque in northwest Pakistan continues to unfold
At least 16 people have been killed after a vehicle loaded with explosives rammed into a mosque near police headquarters in Kohat district, in Pakistan's north-western Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. The attack took place as security forces responded at the scene, and gunfire was still ongoing after the blast. A rescue operation was under way as officials worked to secure the area and account for the injured.A senior police official in Peshawar said five of those killed were police officers.
