Pentagon commits $560m to NSW scandium project in strategic minerals push
The US Department of War has announced a $560 million investment in an Australian scandium project in central western New South Wales. The deal covers Sunrise Energy Metals' Syerston project near Fifield, about 350 kilometres north-west of Sydney, and gives the US a right of first offer on output.
