Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz announced that the military will establish an extensive security zone in southern Lebanon following the conclusion of hostilities with the Hezbollah armed group. In a recent video statement from his ministry, Katz outlined the intention to occupy areas up to the Litani River, approximately 30 kilometres from the Israeli border.
